Sail to Sable was founded in 2012 by Jennifer Stocker — a Connecticut native who spent a decade in Manhattan's publishing world before returning to her roots to build the coastal women's brand she'd always wanted. Inspired by Connecticut summers and the classic beach resorts dotted along the eastern seaboard, Jennifer named the brand after the coastal communities she loved and built it into a national staple now carried at over 400 retailers. The team is female-led, and the design philosophy is consistent: sophisticated resort wear with a whimsical twist, in timeless silhouettes, bold hues, and upscale fabrics.

The Flag Sweater is one of Sail to Sable's signature pieces — the intarsia knit that has become a summer wardrobe institution for coastal women across the Northeast.
