Essex is the place that's always felt like home. I spent my childhood trying to get out and my adulthood trying to get back — and somewhere in between, I figured out exactly what I wanted to build here.
I'd been threatening to leave consulting for as long as I'd been in it. It took a layoff to finally push me toward the thing I actually wanted — and honestly, it was the best thing that could have happened.
So I came home. And I built it: a shop at 23 Main Street for women who feel the way I did. Who want things worth keeping. Who believe the brands we choose say something about what we value — and who they support.
Grace & Haven is named for the two things I was looking for when I opened the doors. I hope you feel both when you walk in — or when a package arrives at your door.

I'm often asked about the name. Truth is, when I grow up, I want to be a pirate. Or at least have as much grit and determination as Grace O'Malley, a 16th Century Irish pirate. Grace is my daughter's middle name (a big thank you to my husband for letting me name her after a pirate). And while Haven originated from a side business in real estate some years ago, I now say "Give yourself grace and find your haven." And I hope you will find that with us. A community of authenticity where you can always be yourself and find the grace you need, even in the throws of motherhood or life; and a true haven from the everyday. We could all use a lot of grace and a little haven!
